What's Happening in Lagos?

The animals crashed into one of the world’s fastest growing metropolis cities. Confused, frightened they made their way through Lagos Island where Qudus Onikeku’s Q-Dance Company created a piece about people in flight from political and climate instability.

Next, they journeyed to the floating village of Makoko, only to be chased through the bustling markets and streets of Yaba by the explosive dancers by Ochai Ogaba’s Mud Art Company.

The animals - trying to find a way back to nature - ventured deep into the mainland, arriving to Ejibo Village where renowned performance artist Jelili Atiku investigated themes of flight from political and climate instability and the spiritual world of the Yoruba people.
