Marina Coudray is a French puppet maker and puppeteer based in London, working across large-scale stage productions, street processional performance, and family theatre. Since completing The Herds, she has worked as a puppet maker with Nick Barnes Puppets on The Mad King at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Jungle Book at the National Theatre. She also continues to build and perform with Bric à Brac, the puppet company she co-founded in 2016, creating monumental, interactive puppets for street processions such as Omoluonka or Rouge Sauvage and touring family shows such as La Poupée et le Chevaliera cross France and neighbouring countries.
Marina trained in classical drawing, painting, and sculpture before turning to puppetry, building her first puppet in 2014 and performing at the Charleville-Mézières puppet festival. Her work blends sculpture, performance, and storytelling, exploring the emotional connection between puppets and their audience.
