Elisa Cardoso firstly studied directing, dramaturgy and acting at the accademy Stap Brancaccio in Rome. There she discovered her passion for puppetry and attended Animateria, a high training course where she developed her skills as a puppeteer. She is now incorporating in her personal research dance, aerial dance, acrobatics, singing and all the skills she developed in different background with puppetry.
For me this is one of the most exciting experiences I’ve ever done. I’m so thrilled to be surrounded by so many talented people who care for our future. I think that art too often it’s taken for granted or as a joke, but it can change everything. If we put ourself into it and that’s exactly what this project it’s about. In my own research I’ve been working with animals before and I find it really intense and interesting to study and recreate their movement, to analyse their way of seeing and feeling the world.
