Meet the Team

Sophie Underwood is a writer/puppeteer/nature-lover from Vancouver Island, Canada, now based in London, UK. She is a graduate of the University of Victoria Writing and Theatre Programs, the Banff Centre Puppet Theatre Intensive, and Menagerie Theatre’s Young Writers’ Workshop. She has written for stage and screen, and puppeteered in theatres, schools, libraries, farmer’s markets, and cubby holes under the stairs.

I think THE HERDS is ultimately an act of hope - in art, in people, and in our power to create change. I am incredibly excited and honoured to be joining THE HERDS. I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with artists from all over the world on a large-scale project to inspire deep thought and action around the climate crisis.
